    Being a land owner there are lots of things that can reduce or add to the amount of acres in any pasture.

        Every time a thief thread hits this screen, bunches of folks say " I hate a thief ". If the landowner is seriously misrpresenting the acreage, then he is a thief ! And good lease or not, I would call him on it if I could prove that he was, in fact , lying about the acreage.

              I agree however if I am paying per gun and was happy with the lease then I wouldn't confront the landowner about it. If I am paying per acre then I am gonna say something whether I am happy or not.

                            +1 on the maps issue. I have a ranch that has been in the family for quite some time (100 years or so). I think there are 6 different records with the County.
