    LDP etiquette question

So this past weekend was the final weekend for hunting on our lease and I took a pretty good axis on the last evening hunt. We have seen a ton of axis on our lease but very seldom do we see them at our feeders. This is the first axis buck taken off our lease in two years. I take some ldps out in the field, and decided to take a few more after getting him back to camp. One of our lease members gets back to camp and is pretty excited about my kill and asks if he can take a pic with him. I agree, even though i thought it was a little different. That's when he grabs his bow and throws it on my axis and gets ldps taken with my buck! Not only that but then he starts texting the pics to family members. My question to the green screen: is this normal? What the heck would you have done?

I would have given him hell but I'm not sure I'd be really upset about it.

I would just feel really really sad for him.

How do we know that you didn't take LDPs with HIS deer? I mean he has pics to prove HE killed it.

Does he have a photo of a pretty girl photoshopped next to him, claiming it's his girlfriend too?

Just laugh at him. Obviously he's crazy.

I've taken pictures WITH guides, and WITH friends that were on the hunt, but never had anyone take a solo picture with my animal or vice versa.

That's just weird, but Curt does raise a good point!

                Number one rule of LDP...

                1. Never, EVER, EVER take a pic with another hunter's kill and then claim you had anything to do with it.

I wasn't really weirded out until he chunked his bow on the body and sat down behind it.

Play along. Life is too short to spend time worrying about this kinda stuff. Sit back and enjoy a good beverage and laugh about it.

I would have asked WTH he was doing when he brought out his bow and laid it across my kill. I probably would have stopped him so that my credibility wasn't questioned for some reason. You never know these days.

                      What a choad....

I can certainly understand that. Most folks have too much pride to do that and claim the deer as their own possibly.

Well now that's a whole other thread. Spooning is an art form only to be attempted with matching spoons.
