Just shot my bow for the first time in six months. Only shooting at 20 yards but I was right on. Getting ready for B segment. Y'all leave some for me Rjet.

All of the pigs are in Big Mineral. We slayed them all day yesterday. Best of luck guys

Parked on the corner north of the main BM parking area and started hiking West Southwest at daylight. Had a medium sized lone hog dead to rights at 17 yards. I rushed the shot and it sailed over its back, lodging in a cedar tree behind it. Hiked 4 miles to the back side of Big Mineral and got into a mess of pigs. Connected with a sow that would probably go 100-120 lbs. Quartered and packed her out strapped to my backpack.

Ran into those boys that were banging like crazy yesterday morning (prior post about PigPalooza). That shooting wasn't on private land. Sounded like they were putting a dent in the hog population! Good to meat you TSpurgeon.

After the 8.2 mile round trip I'm beat!

Boomer sooner nice to meet you also. Was an awesome day Friday with a lot of shooting. Expected to see hogs but not as many as we ended up seeing. Saw well over 100, ended up jumping 12 different groups. I would say hagerman has a major hog problem.

                        so that's where they are...

When I say 4 miles I mean 4.1 miles. There is a bottom back there with cedars and small rolling hills. You will know you are there when you can't take a step without hitting hog crap or a wallow and the dies are growling at you.

The Trimble app did a great job. Love it!

Now it's time to enjoy the family by campfire.

                          God is good.

                              love the trimble app...

i was back there in february and the signs were everywhere... in fact, i saw one of the biggest hog tracks i have ever seen heading under that little railroad track bridge just before you leave the refuge property.

trimble app told me today, i did 2 miles on the bike and 7.5 on foot not bad for an old guy, lol...
