2015 Hagerman Hog Hunt: Segment-A

Saw a guy with a field dressed hog laying under his truck this morning in Big Mineral.

2015 Hagerman Hog Hunt: Segment-A

Still sitting in Goode. Watching the sun go down over the lake. God is good.

You see anything in Goode? Not much moving this morning

Saw 17 deer, 3 armadillos and a P&Y opossum this evening up there.

That made 24 deer, 13 armadillos, 7 hogs, 4 coyotes and a whopper of an opossum.

Did a quick tally of where everyone marked their unit when I switched units mid afternoon:
-Big Mineral 31
-Harris Creek 10
-Godwin 9
-Sandy 6
-Goode 4

Hiked 12.1 miles and biked another 3.5. This Okie is worn out but looking forward to a bloody Saturday.

Welp, no pigs seen. I walked through much of the southeast of BM and saw tons of fresh sign. Heard some shooting too. Talked to a few different guys and only one had shot at a pig. Didn't recover.

I did see about a dozen deer driving in up near the Visitor center and then another 6 while hunting. Saw about a dozen armadillos, which are the dumbest and LOUDEST creatures ever. I'm still amazed at how loud an armadillo walking through the woods is. I came up on a skunk at last light and took a WIDE berth.

Might switch it up tomorrow and check out another unit.

Anyone get a final count on how many were taken today?

Saw about a dozen deer, four turkeys, a possum, few squirrels, and quit counting armadillos. Lots of hog evidence, but struck out on those today.

i drove by there on the way home and there were 4 or 5 vehicles parked at that entrance. more than i expected to see.

When I signed in this morning there were a total of 16 hogs taken so far. One guy took four and another guy took three. I didn't pay attention to what units they were hunting but I will check when I sign out this afternoon
