Alot of firsts this weekend. First saltwater fish, first trout, first redfish, and first time fishing the surf.



Caught this 18" last night. All the ones this morning were undersized at 14"

Must say that so far I am pleased with the Redington Path 8wt Saltwater combo. Time of course will be the judge, but it is working out well.

I was over by Blanco this weekend. I only got to get away to fish from noon till 3. Hit up Blanco SP. Too hot for the bigger fish. Saw tons of baitfish totally unpressured. It was a bit crowded too.

Skunked today... Still better than sitting in the house

Had a couple strike at some dry flies which is what keeps me coming back!

Trying to find an excuse to hit the coast again. Have tied up a few more flies so that I have a bit more variety for the various conditions.
