    What else can I do!!!!

I have some neighbors that are super nice folks, bought the land next to me 8 years ago and built a home. They are a older couple and retired, here is the situation, they are cat lovers almost at the point of being cat hoarders but that's there right and I don't have a problem with it, but I have 3 big dogs that don't like cats and I have always told them if one of your cats get over in my yard its not going to be pretty cause my dogs will kill it. well we have not had any problems in the 8yrs they have lived here until last Saturday, got a call at 7:30am from my neighbor crying her eyes out and saying your dogs killed my baby, one of there cats came in yard and they killed it, I felt bad and told how sorry I was and even went over and helped buried it, problem now is they want speak, wave when they drive by, if I try to speak to them when in yard they ignore me, I fell bad about what happened, but cat got in my yard and I had told them this would happen, I just hate when people are hurt and upset and really hate that there upset with me but I know not what else I can do. Anyone on here ever had this problem

    God Bless

It happens.... If they can't live with it they don't need to let their cats out of the house or roaming without supervision

Nothing else you can do. Wasn't your fault. Your dogs are in their yard,

Not much you can do to keep a cat out of your yard unless you're willing to run electric wire at the top of the fence and even then it's only partially effective.

Maybe they'll get over it sooner or later.

It sounds like you are doing everything you can. Give them time. They are hurting because something they loved very much was taken from them. They might blame you at first but if they are sensible people, and it sounds like they might be, they will know it was not your fault. Just give them time to process through their loss. Right now it is a raw wound and seeing you might bring that sadness back up to the top.

          Just my opinion.

All you really need are 6 friends. Any less and you have to hire pall bearers. Any more and you're wasting Christmas cards.

If they can't see it wasn't your fault, then there ain't much help for them.

You've done all you can. Don't let it get to you, keep being the great neighbor you already are.

I've never understood why people think it's ok to let their cats roam the neighborhood but it's not ok to let your dogs do the same.

I agree with the other comments. There's nothing you can do to make them friendly again. I know you want to be on good terms with your neighbors, but this all is their choice; first in allowing their cats to roam where ever they want, and second to get their panties in a wad over what is their fault. Eventually they will come around, unless another cat crosses the fence. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
