I've read total money makeover, It is a good read and gives you the outline you need to become debt free. But it is still going to be dependent on your self-control and discipline.

Another twist on finances is Mr. Money Mustache. He's sort of a snarky, Gen-X Dave Ramsey. www.mrmoneymustache.com

We got the "Total Money Makeover" as a wedding gift back in Oct. The first 20 pages I didn't really know if I wanted to keep reading... After 100 pages, I was hooked! Read all 220+ pages in 2 days. I'm 30 and I haven't read a complete book in my life. Not in HS or College. He will motivate you! He will make you realize right from wrong. He will not tell you anything you don't already know (or should know), he just explains why it is so important to get on the right track and STAY on the right track. YOU also have to be willing to sacrifice and then stay disciplined or it will not work!
Hopefully this motivates you as well:
11 days after reading his book we were able to get rid of $32,794 worth of debt!!!! I made a decision! I wanted to be debt free and have money in my pocket rather then be in debt and LOOK like I had money in my pocket. Plain and simple. I am happier already and immediately felt the stress lift off my shoulders. Granted, we still have some debt and we are still working on the rest of it, but once you make that decision... It's Game On!!! There's no going back!!!! It feels amazing, especially that my Wife jumped on board with me and we are just killing it!!!! I wish you the world man! Your life and the well being of your family will only get better!!!!
Get to it!!!!!

I am extremely strict on my spending habits now after being down on my luck for a few years. My friends call me crazy and an extreme Jew lol. My mom hates that I drive a focus and have Silverado that is only used when I need the bed. Both are paid off. I've always wondered how his advice aligns with my ideas. One of these days I'll read his stuff. Good luck with your financial changes. You won't regret it.

No harm man! Glad he was able to do that. I'm really excited about it. It looks like all really enjoy it. I will definitely read it! So should I purchase the complete guide to money as well?

As Dave would say "Debt is normal, be weird."
Who cares that you drive a focus? A car is not a status symbol like some people treat them. It is a tool that gets you from point A to point B.
