I am wearing some ariats now that are ok, but not great. I Have a pair of
Tony Llama TLX that can suck the socks off your feet in 20 paces. I have
always liked Justin and I will go back to them, but not the Chinese ones. Red
Wings wear like iron, but I prefer a more cowboy type boot.

I've had several pair of red wings and they all sucked....honestly!

I'm on my second pair of Ariat workhogs squaretoe and they are the best that I've ever worn! The most comfortable boot in my life....now they may not be for you, but the are for me!

I quit trying any other brand of boots for work many years ago. I like the 2405 pecos. They have the upgraded leather and the soles that work really well in the oilfield.
When I worked at mining and construction locations I wore the same version in lace up 2406.

Redwing will have a sale of 20% off anything in the store Black Friday AM.

          Good luck.

I'll never own a pair of Redwings again. Painful to break in, and painful for working on concrete all day. My work boots are Ariats square-toed, which is what 90% of the guys in my lab use (Work pays for our boots). They are very comfortable without an extra insole, IMO.

If you REALLY want the most comfortable workboot/steel toe.... then go with Danner. What they use in the military and they are light, comfortable and last forever.

Red wings worx. Not the leather one. No break in and waterproof for as long as possible and super strong. Been wearing the same pair for a year with no leaks.

Well I can tell you for a true "Work" boot that Justin, Ariats, have gone to mass produce total crap. My first and last tony Lamas didn't last 6 months before the sole started to come apart. I just purchased my first pair of double H's. At the moment I'm a little disappointed but I will give it a bit more time to break in before I give up and go back to buying red wings. My only problem with red wings is they are a little heavy and they haven't changed the styles in 30 plus years.

Redwings hold up but are too hard of a sole for me.

Justin has been my favorite for years

I go through boots like crazy. I tried Redwings and didn't like them at all. They became floppy on my feet after they stretched out.
Justin boots have never lasted more than a couple months.
Tony Lama TLX soles fell apart for me.
Double H were pretty good and I bought a second pair to replace worn out first. The second pair fell apart within a week. Took them back and switched to Ariat. I'm not 100% impressed with the Ariats either but I just bought a second pair.

Wolverine, crepe soled, slip ons for me. They weigh no more than a tennis shoe and need no break in and are very comfortable all day. Only bad part is they last me about a year and a half to 2 years.
