    Real World Thunderhead Broadhead Review

    I have been shooting Thunderhead broadheads for many years. They fly great with my setup, are razor sharp and extremely durable.

    This past weekend, I shot a doe at the lease. The arrow went through the doe and buried in my rice bran feeder. When the doe mule kicked, the carbon arrow blew apart but the insert and Thunderhead were fully intact. Note the blood splatter on the wood. Not a bad commercial for NAP.

    I used Thunderheads for years but switched to QAD Exodus this year to try something new. Only complaint I ever had with the Thunderheads was I went through a lot of replacement blades. The rocks in the hill country were hard on them.

    Cool pic!

        These are what I shoot as well. Have killed many deer and pigs with them. Great broadhead and easy to replace the blades.

              I would have thought that shot was at the top, if not above the lungs. How far did she run? Did you get both lungs?

                      Keith,
                      I was shooting from about 10' up and she was dropping and rolling away in the video. The shot center punched both lungs. She ran 50 yards.

                        Nothing works better that a solid fixed blade. Nice and strong, and nothing to,"fail to open."

                            Thunderheads=Don't come much tougher!!!
                            I shot 5 deer one year during October and November. All with the same TH-125 and same XX75 2514 before I retired it. It's still almost like new.

                            Awesome review.
