Sam's has a BlackMax w/Honda GX390 engine for $999. Electric start, 6gal tank, 3-year warranty, 7000 watt w/8750 surge. This is probably what I'll be going with.

FYI, you can get 2 Honda 2000 and hook them up together when you need to run the A/C, and run one when you don't need A/C. There are two BIG advantages to this. Fuel and noise. While they do cost more, they burn VERY little fuel. Maybe 1.5- 2 gallons per 24/hours. You can set them up with a 6 gallon extended fuel tan(boat fuel tank) and get several days between refuels. In winter that will save you a lot on fuel. My dad's genset burns 10+ gallons per day. That is a $25-30/day savings. FYI Oh and they are WAY quieter.
