    Generator

So me and my dads generator gave out and I am heading to the lease tomorrow... I'm willing to spend at most 1000 on a generator. What kind and where should I get one??? Preferably somewhere close like tractor supply or sears or lowes. I really want one that is relatively quiet.

O and I need it for a 24 ft camper, just run a/c, water pump, lights, hot water heater and radio.
    Thanks and.... go!

Honda's are the most quiet in my book.

Looks like they have them. And yep, they're proud of them.

You need a 3000 to power an air conditioner in a travel trailer. My Yamaha 2000 is great but will not power the AC.

I got the Champion remote start/kill from Cabelas. Yes I'm getting lazier in my old age and don't want to have to go outside to deal with the generator. This is my second Champion from Cabelas. The only reason I bught the second one was the remote feature. I sold the old champion to a buddy and he uses it on his travel trailer. I'm pretty sure they are 4000 start up and 3500 continious. I just watch what appliances I'm running at a given time and they have worked fine. Not going to be as quite as a honda, but they aren't horrible either.

So will a 3500 power the whole camper fine? We had a 7000 but that was just because we got a good deal from a biddy

X2 on the 3500 champion from tractor supply. Bought one last month for around $300. Not as quite as a Honda but tolerable even while tailgating. Great buy in my book.

If your water heater has a electric element in it and with the AC would go at least 4000 watts. If you use a micro wave might even go a little bigger.

Spend the money on a 100ft cord and get the 3500 from tractor supply. Takes it away from camper so it sounds like a Honda :-)

Harbor freight has a line of generators called predator. The 3200watt is $329.00 the 5000wAtt is $499.00 and the 7000watt is $599.00. We have used two versions of these generators at our camp for the past 3 years with no issues at all. They are by far the quietest generator I have ever heard besides a Honda. I bought the $339 one and I have been running two cabins with window units and floresent bulbs for 3 years straight. 12 hours a day for 3 days a week for 3 months for 3 years. That's a total of 1,296 hours of use without a issue. It sold me.
