Help me! What am I looking at?

One of my hunters sent me these pics. Is there a collar on this doe? Is it tight and cutting into the skin? What is it? Also I'm in an AR County and they wanna know if this buck is legal. I think not because it looks branched. What say the GS? Hold for pics.......

This buck needs to go IMO. I'm going to send this pic to the GW tomorrow for his opinion also

Collar. Looks loose...just ruffling the hair.

I'd shoot that buck....a point has to be 1" so my vote is that is still an unbranched antler.

The law says " at least one unbranched antler ". I think both sides are branched.

Branched and a point may not be the same one inch rule

Buck is legal IMO and doe is a pet from a local farm house. Trying to keep her from getting killed. Again JMO.

                  It is collared
                  Not cutting into her.
The side of the collar that's against her shoulder is black and looks like the orange is pushing the hair up.

The bust is 13+" inside spread.
                  I'd shoot it.
Or better yet, let a kid shoot it.

Yep. Buck is legal and sure looks like that could be a collar on the doe. Maybe a pet that escaped and bred?

Could be an off limit doe...?
She could be dropping twin bucks or she could be carrying some good breeder genes.

You're thinking about it too hard...it can't be branched if there technically isn't a point.

Anyways, it has a greater than 13" spread so it's moot

Pretty sure whoever put the coller on the doe is breaking the law. I would put her in the freezer along with that buck if given the chance.
