Depends on the range conditions. If there is a drought such as the one we are experiencing now. I wont . In times of plenty, sure.

Never have and never will, too many does without fawns so why do it?

I have never needed to. I might shoot one with a yearling if I didn't hunt an area with such a high deer density. I definitely am not going to kill something with spots, unless it's an axis or something.

my goal is always to try and take mature animals, 2.5 is about as young as I would arrow a doe.

shot my first doe with a bow last year. a group of 4 came in, 3 does and 1 yearling, i picked a doe out and she ran about 30 yrds and piled up. well the other 3 didnt spook and the yearling went and stood by the dead doe for a while until i got down and then she trotted off. momma sure was good
                              doesnt bother me

Im nota Coyote or Bobcat or Cougar,I dont need to eat them.. So I don't shot fawns period....yearling...well depends on the situation and moment...most does I've seen are in groups anyway!..I did have a Nubbin buck within 3yds of me a few years ago...I could count the hairs on his snout...His mom was about 30 yds to my right stomping her hooves and snorting for him to come back..he just trounced around in front of me like he was a kid a Disney, although she was adamant about he coming away...she knew something wasn't right...and he finally trotted on back....Ill remember that memory/story as much as the first buck I ever killed.
