A fawn born in the spring will lose there spots by the middle of October usually and can live just fine without its mother

The general consensus is that a fawn that has lost it's spots can survive without the doe. If you can't stomach the fawn looking at the killer of it's mother then don't do it. It's nature. Things like this happen in the wild all the time. A coyote will not care.

As long as there are not spots the arrow will fly.....

Wont shoot a doe with a fawn. No reason other than i feel better about it. There will be other opportunities... i will just wait.

                  Deja vu?

I won't shoot a doe with a fawn for the same reason. My heart is too big!

I don't unless she is a blower. Then she earns it and can't teach her fawn/yearling to do so. Just my personal preference.

We have plenty of bucks that need killin' every year if I can't find a solo doe which is rare as well.

I don't shoot does with fawns. Barren does or does with yearlings are a go.

You can't be a yearling until you are a year old... Duh?
