Doe need to be mature nanny does. If she has twins I may or may not give her a pass. Our land owner gives us a quota based on his aerial survey. This year it's 30 does. Last year it was 25. There are 7 of us on the ranch so we have our own self imposed rule that you must shoot a doe before you take a buck.
Most of us generally get most of our doe killing out of the way before we start shooting bucks. Sounds simple huh? Not if you are bow hunting only. We do sometimes rely on crossbows with family members, Kids and select guests to help on doe eradication. No wait. That's Doe harvesting.
