    Hate when drivers do that!

IMO - Always let people sleep...they're sleepy for a reason and their body/mind needs the rest.

If I am driving and there are just 2 of us, then I expect my passenger to stay awake. If there are more then 2, then the ones in the back seat can crash. I do the same when I am riding shotgun, just seems fair.

Sounds familiar. When I am driving my wife goes to sleep and the radio has to stay on a low volume so she can sleep. When she is driving it is up load enough to disturbe me and keep her awake. She also turns the temp up a little on her side but cranks the fan to a higher speed while I like a low temp with a low fan speed. Dual climate zones need to also have dual fan speeds.

You mean your wife will drive!!! I bet in 30 years I have known my wife, she has driven less than 5 hours total if I'm in the car. I don't think I have ever set in my truck's passenger seat??????????????????????

I always seem to drive, but I don't have an issue with the person sleeping, unless I get tired then everyone stays awake.

I just like to wait till the passenger is asleep, then I start screaming and let my wheels touch those bumpy things on the shoulder. Usually keeps em up so they'll talk to me.

That is cool. As long as you can accept paybacks.

If driver is responsible. Go ahead and sleep. I never sleep when my sixteen yr old grandchild is driving.

Here's as twist to your question:
I had a physician friend who let his son drive home from their lease while he napped. Mark did not survive the trip home and his son was critically injured. His son lost control of their truck, went off the road (it was night) and his father was killed at the scene.

This happened when I lived in Lubbock and was a few years ago but....point is "most" of us are tired from a great hunt and it's natural to drift off...whether you or someone else is driving! As for me, I stay awake....you never know!!

I'm okay with it. In fact I encouraged it, especially on long trips. That way when I'm getting tired they can spell me whilst I nap.

I slept 10 hours straight on way back from week long elk hunt in New Mexico. Buddy kept trying to wake me up but I was dead to the world. He still brings it up.

                              Heck
                              If I ain't driving I'm sleeping.
                              No problem at all.

Our rule is if the driver gets tired they say so. Then either we switch drivers or pull over and slee .
