This is for a Tacoma. No bigger then an 18. Or the steering wheel shakes.

Man ... did you get it figured out?
Me ... yeo, it's the junky *** tires.
Man ... how do you know that?
Me ... I put some worn out tires on it and it rides perfectly.
Man ... oh, well then I guess I need to get you some different tires.

I guess he remembered all the things that he tried to blame it on and when he left the burden of proof on me, I eliminated all his possible problems and he knew the only thing left was the tires.

They're going to put a set of continentals on it now. They're supposed to be a much better tire.

      We'll see.
There is the answer to your problem. Factory wheels vs. aftermarket wheels.

Why is it so hard to see that it is more than likely, NOT THE TIRES, if numerous sets and different brands have been tried? Why do you keep trying to blame it on the tires? That is like saying my car wont start and buying a new battery. The car still wont start, so I buy a different brand battery. Car still wont start. Well, maybe, I should check the starter, the alternator, or something else.

Lol. I have a thorn in my foot. Every pair of shoe I buy hurt my feet.

Dmack I believe has it right. The concept is there are two types of wheels "HUB centric" and "Lug centric". I had the very same issue on a 2500 HD. The aftermarket wheels were LUG centric. This means they line up true using the lugs to center them. It is pretty easy to do but you must verify. The factory wheels were hub centric. Simply slide them on and torque. The lug centric type ususlly fit a multiple of different size hubs. As Dmack has stated there are hub centering rings available to make the wheel install much easier.
Imagine you stab the wheel on the lugs / hub. The wheel will hang a bit as you install the lug nuts. If the first one is just a bit snug it will trap the wheel from moving so the remainer will just tighten the wheel up not quite centered on the hub / lugs. The center caps hide the hub so it is not visible. leave the center cap off and install the wheel. If you get down and look closely you will see the OD of the hub is moist likely not centered in the wheel center hole.
Dang that burned me up also as centering rings were not readily available years ago.. Good luck to you..

            $195 for a 22" is a cheap tire.

Here's an idea, get rid of the 22's you stopped needing to be cool the day you graduated high school.

I kno you are out in West Houston, their is a company in Webster on Hwy 3 close to NASA Rd 1 its called Benson tire and Front end. All they do is front end work. Make a appointment show up your in and out. They do fantastic front end and brakes extc. Privately owned been in Business years, I'm sure their is good front end only company on the westside. If you find out it is from the new tires, take all your receipts and contact DT corporate and they will work with you or local Regional manager not store manager
