Ok. A guy that works for me found a set of worn out Michelin tires on factory wheels. We bolted them on and it rode like a Cadillac. I'm back at discount now. The same manager waited on me. The conversation went like this.
Man ... did you get it figured out?
Me ... yeo, it's the junky *** tires.
Man ... how do you know that?
Me ... I put some worn out tires on it and it rides perfectly.
Man ... oh, well then I guess I need to get you some different tires.
I guess he remembered all the things that he tried to blame it on and when he left the burden of proof on me, I eliminated all his possible problems and he knew the only thing left was the tires.
They're going to put a set of continentals on it now. They're supposed to be a much better tire.
We'll see.

I absolutely hate crap like this.
Since when did it become the customer's job to fix and work on crap that the shop screwed up? Are they going to compensate you for installing eight tires and driving back and forth because they sold you crappy tires?
I'm on a tear today because my brand new Igloo cooler broke two hinges within four days.

Just curious why you would not go with the top of the line tire? Maybe it is just me, but tires are one thing that I am willing to let my husband pay for, for the name brand, top of the line tire. As much as me and my family are on those things, I dont want the good or better tire. I want the best tire. I know that things happen with the "best" tires too, but I rarely hear or read stories about TOYO, NITTO, BFG, MICHELIN, but I do hear and read too many stories about Cooper, Continential, Yokohama, Falken, Firestone.
A couple hundred $$$, to ensure safety and peace of mind, is worth it to me. Again, just my $.02. And my husband has never had problems with his BFG or TOYO's on his truck, Michelin's on his work car, or Bridgestone's on my Traverse.
Hope you find the problem.
