In my bow blind I spread one of those large bags of cedar shavings that they sell at the pet store. Every time you move your feet, the strong cedar smell is refreshed. It also seems to keep the bugs down inside the blind. I had deer on three sides of me last year and none of them ever knew I was there.

has anyone tried using vanilla as a cover and if so how do you use it, concentrate or diluted?

What about this stuff in East Texas?

It was given to me last year (after season) and I'm leery on using it do to having a "chemical" smell to the dirt smell- if that makes any sense.

Again, the best solution is to buy an Ozonics unit and forget the other stuff. I don't get busted with them.
