Last year my granny did give me a break over .410 and a .22 pistol that belonged to my grandpa. Those will be passed on to my future offspring.

My first was a Daisy BB gun, got it for my birthday when I turned 10, Christmas a year later Santa brought me a Springfield .22 bolt action single shot rifle. I still have that rifle, and someday it'll be my grandson's.

First gun was a youth sized Remington 870 20ga that Santa brought me

First gun I bought for myself was a Ruger GP100 in .357

A marlin 30 30 lever gun that my papa bought for me before I could walk or talk. It is still one of my go to brush guns, love it and will pass it on to my little one when the time comes.

Remington 700 bolt action .243, had to have a synthetic stock put on it at first so they could cut it down to fit me.

Single shot .410 as a kid. Got a Marlin lever action 30-30 for my 16th birthday. I still have the Marlin and I have notched every deer I have ever killed on the wood of that gun! Someday it will be passed down to a son or grandson.

Marlin Model 60. I've refinished the stock twice on it and still enjoy carrying it around with me. I bought it to take my Hunters Ed. course when I was 17.

30 30 Lever Action and I have been offered over 600.00 for it. The man said it is an old Saddle Edition I do not remember the maker but he was wanting it real bad. It will sound redneck but I traded and old Ford pickup for it, good gun and shoots straight. I am sure the kids will end up with it. I quit using it after the ole boy wanted it so bad.

Went on one dove hunt with a single shot 410 at about 12, next day drove to town and dad bought me a 20 gauge 870. Said "if you're going to shoot your foot off, might as well do it with something you can hit a bird with."

I thought I was the only one in the world that still had a model 14. Great great uncle gave it to my grandpa who gave it to me. Those are the kinds of things that make memories that buying a gun off the shelf just can't do.

My most memorable was my first deer rifle my great uncle gave me. It was a Marlin 30-30. It is still one of my favorites and the one I take hog hunting most often.
