THESE!!!! Hands down the best. But the timer looks just like the HCR. They are manufactured in Burnet Tx. My uncle got me started using them because I was having the same problem. He has one that he's still using right now that's been running 7 years with only one battery replacement. That's all I needed to know. Put them on the hang'em high barrels and tri pods and nothing can get to the motors( varmints). Stake the legs and hogs can't turn them over. Set the time and forget it!! It's that legit.

I used the G Box by HCR. Everything is in a metal box with the solar panel mounted to the box with NO EXPOSED WIRES!!! All woires are internal.

I have had good luck with All Seasons/The Timer and Texas Hunting Products. I have had to replace my Texas hunting products ones but this was after 5-6 years of use. I have not had the All Seasons as long.

Don't overthink it....Get the Timer and be done with it....

Starting year 8 with two of mine and my buddy is on year 6 with his two.....the only thing we have had to do was change out the big batteries after 4+ years on a solar panel

Those sound as good as HCR. It hard to beat good timers. Good to know there are others that work as good as the HCR.

COX Feeders out of Livingston, TX. I have had one for 16 years and it is still going strong. By far the best timer on the market in my opinion.

I use all seasons with the redneck timer. I have one that has been going off 2 times a day since 2007. Replaced a weak battery once but other than that it's been bullet proof.

When I was a kid, my dad bought the timer/spinner/etc unit from a place called Cox Feeders in Livingston, Tx. Those timers ran on the same batteries for 10+ years, just swapping them out every 4-5 months and rotating them on charger. Until my cousin decided they needed solar panels, without charging regulators. The batters died, as well as the timers. The motors are still going though, just with new batts and timers. Have to replace 1 or 2 timers every year though.

I'll agree with that. Don't know what "The Timer" changed but I have had nothing but trouble with the newer ones.

I had a couple of hcr's but I like the timers better.

I'd forget to turn the dial on the hcr and it would never start throwing. the timer defaults to the throw times you've set.

I have them on 6 feeders and many of them are years old.
