I was contacted by a lease group in Oklahoma and they are paying pretty good and buying my NR trapping license , I'll hit that lease for a five day period and max out on my Okie state coon and fox limit as well as hit the coyotes hard and pile a few cats up..
Coming from a hunting website I would have thought many of you would say who cares it's a coon but your not so I'm shocked....I set mine around 8 and check them during trapping season the next day around 8 so that's pretty much 24 hours but yours are already in a cage. For me I don't think it matters if I left them in a cage for 24 hours because either way im gonna kill them so why does it matter, sure ill feel a little bad for them being a cage that long but either way there gonna die. Now if you letting them go I would just wait a day and say there lucky there not gonna die. Good luck

I only set my traps when I can run them the same day (usually within a few hours) or at evening time first thing the next morning. When I leave the property I remove my traps to keep them from rusting.
