Hey Mike, I have had the same problem with Gumbo wanting to chew on wood as well.

I take a damp paper towel and blot it on the chewed area a few times then put a good dose of cayenne pepper on the spot. The moisture makes the pepper stick.

      He quit chewing up stuff.

Daisy was spayed yesterday. She's feeling pretty good. Almost acting normal.

Here she is on the way to the vet.

Wait arnt these lousianna dogs. They should love cayenne. I will try this for sure. I have a fire wood rack next to our fireplace for split fire wood. That girl drags them all over the house and splinters it into a million places. When I am home we dont have issues because I watch her like a hawk. She acts up she gets on the leash till she starts using her indoor manners. She is in a battle for alpha female right now. My wife needs to show her who is boss cause right now Jenna thinks she is alpha. She will nip at my wife and run off when i get a hug or a kiss. Might have to rename her to CB

Well...I didn't want to believe you. But I'm about 90% sure that Daisy has directional deafness. She can hear just fine...just can't tell where it's coming from. She hears the neighbor kids talking and playing. She just stands in the yard with her head cocked to the side until she can see movement, then she tries to join them. Several other examples. Very disappointing but I'm attached to her and not sure how much it will affect her blood trailing (she won't be hogging'). It could be a problem when she gets away from me and can't tell where I'm calling her from.

Thanks for the heads up. I thought she was just stupid.
