Who Else HATES This Time of Year?!?!

I was just telling my GF last night how I cant wait for August to get here! Football starts, then next thing you know its dove season. While you are busy blasting doves bow season sneaks up on you. Then its game on till the end of January, where you are blasting ducks. I cant wait.

Heat don't bother me...I love summer. The hotter and more miserable the better. It makes me look so much more forward to fall which is my favorite time of year.

I don't mind the summer because I love to fish. There is just something about fishing when it is cold that I do not like. Definitely ready for some football and hunting though!

I hate August except for trail camera season. Even fishing I hated August. Bring on Sept 1 and the heat factor will disappear to me. I like dove hunting in the heat over a nice tank covered in skeeter spray with the smell of burning gun powder. It makes me forget the heat.

Then there is always football too.

I know I'm in the minority here,but I like it hot! Swimming,tubing,floating the river,etc..I like it Freezing cold 1 month outta the year,(the rut) after that I want it 90-100 for the next 11 months!

It was pretty hot when I was home last month but I still had a good time riding the Harley, as well as being out there in the Hill Country chasin' Axis & Aoudad.

It's very nice and cool here in Africa and although I'm working now, on the first day of August I will start hunting plains game in the Limpopo province of South Africa for a couple of weeks.

I don't have a bad time of year. I'm pretty much enjoying myself no matter what!

I love to fishing, golf, and the beach. I don't get much time the rest of the year to do those things. I also don't like cold, so I look forward to summer every year. It also helps when you don't work outside.

Love me some summer. Too much salt in these veins to want any more cold weather than we already have. Heck I don't even mind sweating through my clothes in my pop up during october. Beats shivering to death in January.

I'm not much into fishing. Don't dislike it but don't get the same satisfaction out of it as I do hunting.
I'm not much into baseball. Don't dislike it but don't get the same satisfaction out of is as I football or basketball.
I not much into hot weather. Don't dislike it but don't get the same satisfaction out of is as I do a crisp fall day.
I'm not much into flies and mosquitoes.
And this list could go on and on.

Other than the fact that women usually wear considerably less clothing during the summer. I can't see much of an upside to anything that happens between the NBA finals and opening day of dove season.

I have no use for August, and most of July. Bring on dove season, actual football, and all that comes along behind it!

If it never got above 88 again it wouldn't hurt my feelings.
