Some of Lois Lerner Emails Found....

...and they're getting one step closer.

Busted: Emails Recovered on IRS Official Who Plead 5th & ‘Lost’ Hard Drive Prove She’s Hiding Info

Lois Lerner just got smoked on the floor of Congress by Congressman Jim Jordan in front of the smug IRS head John Koskinen.

Emails recovered on the IRS official who plead the Fifth (before giving up her right to remain silent) and then “lost” her hard drive show that she was wanting to make sure that the IRS’ internal messaging system was set-up to make sure her info was not traceable, trackable or storeable. The phrasing could not be more “perfect.”

Lois Lerner sent the following to Maria Hooke, the Director of Business Systems Planning for Tax Exempt & Government Entities, and copied Nanette Downing, the Director of Exempt Organizations Examinations:

    lerner2Hooke responded with the following:

HookeAnd Lois Lerner’s insidious one-word response?

    lerner“Perfect.”

Now, considering that Lois Lerner “plead the 5th” (before proclaiming her innocence) and has somehow “lost her emails” in a government agency where it’s illegal to do so, the question becomes: Do innocent people working in government care if their emails are saved or not?

Do people who are following the law say that it’s “perfect” that their communications aren’t recoverable, traceable, or trackable?

Beyond Lois Lerner, the entire IRS enterprise appears to be set up like a criminal operation, and that should have every single American worried about their government.

Time for a IRS cleansing. Hell, it's time for an administration overhaul.

It would be nice if they would gut that agency and then abolish it all the while prosecuting all the criminals.

Eric Holder isn't capable of doing the right thing.

I think some very important text is missing from the OP.

What did I miss? I saw the same report on two different links. This is a copy/paste from the shorter of the two. Not my words, theirs.

If this is bogus, I will retract and admit I was wrong. I have no problem with admitting short comings.

Not attacking you, just want to be properly informed. Please advise as to what was missed.

            Thanks.

The references to what they wrote are there but the quotes are missing. You have to open the link to see the actual emails.

You didn't miss anything, but the original article doesn't specify what "perfect" was in response too...

That's pretty important given the allegation.

We would not need the IRS, if there was a flat tax.

You could fire everyone of the bums.

"Perfect" is what Lois Lerner said when she found out that their Microsoft Instant Messaging app didn't automatically store IM conversations. When paired with the email she sent telling people to watch what they put in email because on several occasions congress had asked for emails, and that there had been electronic searches done, makes her appear to be hiding things. However, in Maria Hooke's response she also advised Lerner that it is possible for either party in an IM conversation to record the conversation, so each conversation should be considered "searchable."

As much as I'd like for them to catch Lerner red handed and tar and feather her, this is hardly a smoking gun.

No, but the lost hard drive definitely is... The emails are (should be) saved on a server, not exclusively on her hard drive.

Sorry, just as someone else said, the text of the one e-mail is for sure missing. I didn't click on the link, just read the copy/paste. Not enough info there to understand what she was responding "Perfect" to.
