I slice the peppers (once they're really ripe / the hottest) and place them in the dehydrator for a couple hours until all the moisture is out of them and they are crisp. Then I grind them in a coffee/spice grinder. Once they are in a powder, you can play around with it by creating your own spice mix (add salt, garlic, onion powder, etc.) or just leave it 100% hot peppers.

We call it "sprinkles" and add it to really everything. Pizza, pasta, soups, stews, steaks, beans, peas, fish, boils, etc.

To tell you the truth, every hunt I go on, I carry a small container of sprinkles and flavor up whatever I'm eating. Makes a Mountain House worth eating.
Will be jumping on the "Sprinkles" bandwagon! thanks for the tips coon!.

A friend grew some Scorpions and Ghosts a couple of years ago.

I can eat the hot stuff with the best of them. The hotter the better.

Eating the peppers was no problem. It was hot for sure. I cried a bit, LOL.

OK it was brutal but I handled it like a man.

The exit the following day was one of the worst experiences of my life. NEVER AGAIN.

I really like the idea of drying and grinding them up. That sounds like it would be to die for on pizza or any kind of stew.

Groomed them for months...and gave them away.
                        Hateful things.

This years pepper garden is dragon cayenne..and my lips are comfortable with that.

                        That first video is great.

I'd like to grind some up and make some coon and squirrel cakes and stick them on the side of my feeder. Maybe they will stop chewing the bang thing up.

I like salsa for the taste . I like jalapeƱo s too . I just can't understand wanting to eat something so hot it hurts to eat it and takes away from the flavor of the food.

I promise - I'm not a masochist, but I don't think I can articulate why I eat hot peppers on everything.

I could go on and on extolling the virtues of hot peppers that many studies claim.

In truth - it may have started deep in my lineage from some primal need to appear more macho. I really don't know. I do know that I like it and don't spend too much time thinking why.

Oh - And I hear it all the time about the "exit" of all things hot and the pain that causes. Full Discloser here - I've never had that problem. I never have any pain with food leaving my body.

But there was this one time - after a crawfish boil, lots of beer and a girlfriend from long ago. Yada yada yada. Had to put ice cream on her.
