Best Portable bluetooth speaker? Beats Pill XL or something different?

I think I have decided I want to get a portable speaker to use around and even put on my golf cart. I have a mp3 player on it but my phone has to be connected to the wire.

I have read and it sounds like the Beats Pill XL is good, but is there something better?

the Beats pill 2.0 is overpriced ($199) and your paying for a name "Dr Dre" ; 7 hour battery charge

Beats XL is $300 and cannot fit in your pocket for portability ... 13" long , over 3 lbs., and bulkier size than the smaller units

JBL Charge ($125) is the real deal with a 12 hour battery life and very portable with big sound

go do a demo and buy what you want

if you're gonna drop 3 bills, look at the BOSE systems

Just depends on how much you want spend. I have a JBL Flip and it sounds great, $89 at best buy. I've heard all three of the JBL line and they all sound great, just different features. I didn't want a charging port or fancy lights, just a speaker.

We have a couple of them, both work really well and have great sound.

We use our little Bose one almost every day sitting out back with Pandora, we don't even use the stereo speakers plumbed from inside anymore. The battery life on it is probably about 8 hours which can be a problem on a long day. It has a docking station to charge it. This would be a good size to put in a hole on the golf cart.

The second one we have I think is the larger Jawbone. My wife uses it at school for special events. It is much larger than the Bose, probably louder and has a longer battery life. I think it has a "standard" USB port for charging.

Both operate with Bluetooth and I think also have headphone type jacks to connect MP3 players too.

I had the jambox by jawbone, but it never could get loud enough. Also the battery life was poor.

Just upgraded to the Bose soundlink mini and couldn't be happier.

Actually use it now mostly in the house because sound quality/volume is so excellent.

I don't think I paid $199 for it - was on sale at Frys - but would even have been worth that price.

I saw a 10 inch subwoofer looking one at Sprint store the other day. Man that thing rocked.

I have an HMDX from Wal mart for 50.00 and it is good.

From the reviews I have read online the Pill XL has a really good battery life, can turn any other system into a wireless bluetooth controlled system, and outperforms the Bose. I have an old school bose sound dock but no longer have an ipod or iphone. And want bluetooth capabilities. I will look at the g grip.

We've got a couple, but the one I use most often is a Canz 808. It's small enough to put in your shorts pocket and delivers great sound for it's size.

Idk how much your budget is but these are the bomb. They are are pretty penny but boy do they jam. Two different sizes to choose from. https://wetsounds.com/pages/products...soundbars.html

Jbl charge is what I bought. Compared the the pill, the bose mini, and the charge. For the money, the decision was easy. Battery lasts a long time and it is plenty loud. The pill sounded the worst of the 3.
