Pop-Up, good deal. Have you connected with any aggies in Law Enforcement or know of people in it now?

I'm too lazy to read all of the comments.

          Here are my thoughts.

Just mine, ain't saying they are correct. The philosophy just worked for me. Why, forever why, would any body do anything they didn't like as a job. High paying should not be in the equation. Example. I worked in the woods cutting pulp for 8 cents a stick, cut and piled on the landing. Went to work at a ready mix plant finishing cooncrete at 2 in the morning. Joined the Navy and was a happy camper for 22 years. Just find something you like to do and do it. The money will come. It's getting late and I'm not sure all of this makes sense, but hope so. Bottom line, be happy, heck with the rest. I turned down over 100k in San Antone just to stay retired at 40K fifteen years ago. Glad I did too. Never doubted it. You want to see a happy camper with not stress? You've found one.

Life is a journey & full of bumps n humps & sometimes a mountain to climb. Do what "you" think is best for you & yours. I have made several "choices" over my many years & unfortunately, not all good but we "adjust" & make it better. Good luck & keep the faith & be safe.

I had a job in college I couldn't stand. Luckily, I am at a company and in an industry that is thriving and will way after I leave this earth. Thankful doesn't even describe what I feel when I think about my career.

I thought about joining HFD, but I'd rather carry a gun than an oxygen tank

I'm in the same transition. This is my last week in the oilfield. I make a killing but I hate never being home to see family and my very soon to be wife kills me. Not to mention I've barely got to hunt since I took this job. I'm taking the leap of faith into self employment myself. But good luck to ya buddy!

Lol - I got out. I'm fine with a desk job. Never in my life, except working retail, have I been accused of more things, or seen more crazy things. The general public is scary sometimes! I now enjoy all the holidays off that come with working for a bank.

Lol! Tombstones contain names and dates only usually.
