I have a rat in my cube at work

I have a rat or rats in our new (new to us) cube area at work. When we moved in here the old supervisor said there was a rat. We found a trail where he had been climbing down an electrical pole and then running across the cube walls (my cube wall). We cleaned up all the foot prints and they keep coming back.

    So....

    What should we do?

They already had the janitors try to kill/catch it and they struck out. Firearms and weapons are off limits.

One more thing, I want to keep my job.

We got invaded at my office a few months back and paper glue traps worked great for us. We would place them in areas they had to cross and baited a few with Cheetos in middle of trap. In one night we caught 11 and after 30 days our total was 37 mice. Haven't seen one since.

Get rid of the food in your office for a while. Glue traps or regular rat traps with peanut butter.

One of those plug in things. People will laugh, but I think they work. At least they might leave your area. Let them be someone elses problem....

Too bad he wasn't in your kitchen, then you'd know what to do.

Put a little chunk in an empty can or snack container, and the crafty little rodent will think he is getting something good! HeHe.......

The funny thing is that they haven't bothered the trash cans. Everyone says they put their food in sealed containers at night.

I wouldn't do that, place I worked at last summer put poison out to kill rats they had running around he warehouse and up in the ceiling. It killed the rats but the smell of a dead rat in a wall is awful during the hot summer months.
