I have a '11 800 and its the toughest machine Ive ever had. No problem with the heat in fact no problems at all. I have 2462 miles on it without one failure. Ill buy another IF this one ever wears out.

I bought a new '14 Ranger XP 900 Browning Edition last Nov. Love it. Quiet, smooth ride and all the power you will ever need. The fan only comes on when the engine temp reaches a determined temp.

I had a 2012 800 and after using it for 1 yr I had overheating problems. And when going through some water sometimes the air breather would get wet and the 800 would shut down. I bought the 2013 900 and so far it I love it. I will let you know this summer if overheating comes up again, but with the redesign and the motor further back and under the bed and a larger radiator,I think that problem is solved. The 900 has a much smoother ride over the 800.

We have 3 polaris 800s. They are all great machines! If I was buying this year, I would still get the 800. I really like the 900, but there were a lot of changes, and I want to see how "the bugs get worked out". In the next year or two, I will probably upgrade to the 900 though.

Anybody bought the single bench and wish they would have gotten the double?

The 900 is the 800 version with the bugs worked out a little more!

The 900 engine is not new. It has been in the single seat version for a couple of years.

Try my nephew, Michael Geeslin, at Hoffpauir Polaris in Goldthwaite. Tell him uncle Mark said to call him. He will treat you right and they deliver. Hoffpauir has a website for their 800 number.

The polaris warranty is that only through the dealer you buy the vehicle at or is that any polaris shop?

Power wise I believe there is 20HP difference between them. I am holding out for the 1000cc model before I trade in my 800.

I have both in a crew cab.
I like the 900 better than the 800
