    Snake id

Didn't expect this thread to take off like this but for all that think the rodents are going to take over we have a momma cat that had a litter of kittens who are about 6 weeks old. That is my kind of rodent control!

            Y yes, yes I can.
That is the all evolving long tailed, fuzzy,"stripped demon catsnake."
Their fangs are now classifed as teeth and their pupils are slitted so they are very dangerous. Unlike other catsnakes they have very sharp claws and rip the you know what out of skin and the new couch leg.
            Be afraid, very afraid

Edit-- If lost look in and surrounding flowerbed for evidence.

              love snake threads

Indigo Black Snake. Great snakes! From what I've read, Indigos are semi rare in Texas. Missouri was full of them. Some growing 12 feet or more.
As a young 5' 11" teenager caught one. Stood upright with arm out stretched, tail two foot overhang with it's body still on ground and the head was at my knees.

That's an Australian Rock Python, we now have them loose in FL, they also have an aggressive temperament when disturbed just like our Coachwip.

Coachwips make very poor pets, you let your guard down you'll get bit.

Riding in the jeep on the deer lease I saw a baby jack rabbit the size of a baseball next to the road, very rare sighting. Got out to take some pictures and spooked the little guy back into the brush. Mid-air hop a 5' coachwip grabbed him and started up into the yaupon brush. The snake caught him by the head and had two coils on him and the rabbit was squealing really loud.

I went to his rescue holding my camera by trying to lightly slap them apart with my free hand, big mistake. On the second slap the snake let go and latched on to my hand, and so did the rabbit. Both had a death grip on my hand. Probably only took 15 seconds to shake and pry them off, but I'm here to tell you it was a very long and painful 15 seconds. Took 5 min to find my camera out in the brush.
