    Its principle, not the $1.11.

Free market, they have every right to charge me $1.11. I have every right to not get to go food there.

If I had noticed I would have asked them to remove it. I called and placed an order on the phone, I knew the prices of the food I was ordering and was not told there was any other charges. (Tax is different. It's 8.125% in Webster. I knew that).

On the menu they state parties of 6 or more tip will be added. I'm fine with that. I normally tip more than 10% or 15% percent, so for me the waiter looses out a little. I know if protects them a bit.

Anyway, just like everything else. If you let business get away with it, it will only get worse.

Yall who are saying it is only a dollar, thats not the point. It is the principle. You shouldn't have to mandatorily tip for a to go order. You are not getting any service.

If it was a tip, I could look pass that, I normally tip 10% for togo stuff.

So if they email back and said it went to the bartender than cool.

And was it even a tip, or go straight to Chuy?

But if the boom boom chicken is that good, buck eleven should not be a deal breaker.......

Might be good for the patron to start charging a .50 cent a minute fee for waiting for your order? Just take it off the tip? Ive thought of doing that at the Drs office.

As a restaurant operator I will tell you that those Togo items cost me about 2 percent of my sales. That being said, I pay 1.8 percent to process your debit and credit cards. All of this adds up. That in my mind does not justify charging the guest a surcharge to offset it. The restaurant business is very cut throat right now. Costs are rising, labor is more expensive, and let's not forget obamacare. You will probably see lots of these type attempts in the near future. You just won't see them in my restaurant.

On a different tangent, I really doubt this charge is going ito the bartenders.

In a restaurant, to go orders should more welcomed. This means a table is not taken up, but the money is still coming in.

Mmmmmmmm, the best restaurant salsa in the world. If you don't like that stuff something is wrong with you.

Classic Tex Mex enchilada with a smoked chiken relleno with the spicy green sauce with rice and beans........

Man I would pay 1.11 if I could get it to go in Wimberley.
