    They were head down eating.
    Never shoot when their head is down...they can really drop while in that position. Shoot when their heads are up looking at something else besides in your direction...they can't drop as much as fast when their head is up.

        Funny I had the same problem many years ago and had one at 20 yards. Aimed at the bottom and shot. She just stood there and all I had was a lot of white hair shaved off her chest.

        She had been out in front of me eating for like 30 min when I decided to shoot her. That's when I started to learn patience and let them get comfortable before I shoot.

          I am buying some cat whiskers tomorrow after work and tying those babies on before my hunt on Christmas Eve morning.
