I have had more close encounters this season than ever and I have (after this evening) missed 4 deer. Tonight I missed a nice 8 point. He jumped the string at 25 yds. This is the 3rd to jump the string this year. What the heck??!!! Anyone else going through this....

Don't take this wrong......... but glad you missed, as opposed to wound. A clean miss beats a bad shot every deal.

I do feel for you and wonder if missing is worse than no chance at all (my luck this year).

As said, aim low (heart). If you shoot low, clean miss. If they duck, lungs. It's very hard to make yourself do this especially if you've gun hunted previously. Try and keep your shots inside 20-25 yards to dramatically increase your odds.
