Which angle are y'all using on yours? 20? 25? It gets my case knives sharp but doesn't last long when cleaning a hog.

I use a hooked blade carpet knife to cut the hide. But use my trappers to do some skinning around the legs and cutting it up.

What angle do y'all use for pocketknives?

Just got a Ken Onion addition that my beautiful wife of 15 years gave me for Christmas. I am a blessed man. Cannot wait to try it out!

I love mine but I don't use it that much since I switched to Havalon. A great tip for the work sharp is to take the super fine grit band, once it gets pretty worn, and apply green rouge to it - this makes the ultimate honing band!

Also, be VERY careful with the work sharp - it's extremely easy to remove metal with it and you can ruin a great knife by getting carried away with it. Particularly with the more aggressive bands.

                    It's a GREAT sharpener, though!

I got a Worksharp for Christmas. Have have sharpened several knives and some scissors. I cut one of the fine bands trying to sharpen a BH. I think that will take some practice. I found you need to be careful or you can really take off some metal. So far I really like it.

Got one this morning for Christmas. Promptly did all the kitchen knives with it and got a really, really good edge. It would seem that the edges you get which are slightly convex would hold an edge longer, not shorter as mentioned above. Once you put an edge on and then straighten with a steel I"m really pleased so far.

                            Finally got it today.
Dang, it works like a charm.
I had a cerated cutco knife I didn't like because it wasn't unable to be sharpened.. Long story short I made that knife into a regular knife... And I could shave my face with it too!!

I bought one myself to sharpen my wife's sno cone machine blades, I sharpened a couple knifes too, that is one great tool to have.
