It would be the same one for the IPAD. you can get them at WalMart for $20.

You may have to take your case off thought, but other than that it should work.

If you have a ton of pictures it may take a couple of minutes to import them all from the SD to Ipad but once they are imported you can scroll through them as fast as you like.

You have to scroll through the pics one at a time just like you go through your album. When I download them to my iPad, the thumbnails are too small to see what I'm looking at. You can see the body of a deer but can't make heads or tails of what it is. I've just upgraded my phone to the iPhone 5s, I'm hoping to just do it from my phone now.

Ok so with iPad or iPhone it has to download the pics to your photo album then you can see them than you have to delete them off your phone/tablet? You can't just view what's on the card

Correct, and it should also be noted that MOST adapters will not work with an iPhone, only with an iPad.

I can import a few hundred pictures in 2-3 minutes on my iPad 3, and with the new iOS 7 I can easily delete them in large groups and keep the ones I want. iPhoto for iPad is also handy.

If you want something for spot-checks like on your way in, just yank the card and slide it into a regular digital camera and view them there.

Does it require downloading an app also?
I'm guessing the one for the iPhone is not the $20 Walmart easy find version?

I view mine on a point and shoot camera. Works great.

No apps required on the iPad, the built in software will import photos from a SD card adapter. The iPhone adapters are hit and miss, don't have any 1st hand experience with one that works, maybe someone else does though.

Wipe that drive and put a full version of Linux on it!

Download the entire card, scroll through the pics as normal, screen shot the ones you want to keep and then delete the rest. Easy peezy.
                              This exactly
