Lease rule question?

Only paid hunters or their spouse and/or minor children can shoot the trophy, guest can shoot does and any/all of the deer taken come off the paid hunters allotment.

Guests shoot off the members' tag on our place.

Members have their tags on the leases I've been on.Members are allowed a certain # of deer and if you want your son,wife, buddy, or favorite father-in-law to shoot your trophy thats your business but if you do thats your trophy for the year!

I can only take immediate family and they shoot off of my allotment. I can let them shoot my trophy

Our lease is a points system. You start the year with an allotment of points. Trophy WT 1000 points, trophy axis 1000 points, trophy BlackBuck 1200, trophy sika 800, WT doe 100, etc. You can mix and match. You can go over your starting points by buying more. Basically it works out that you can shoot 1 trophy WT and 1 Trophy exotic with your allotment. Last year I killed a 10 and a 12 point WT trophy instead of an exotic.

Guests use your points when they shoot something. Family or friends are ok but paid member has to be at the lease if they are.

When we first got on this lease, they had it set that a member and his guest could both shoot a trophy. So I asked for my money back and told the president that I would come back at thanksgiving and hunt my dads tag. The rule was immediately changed so that one trophy per paid hunter was allowed no matter who shoots it

Now that is cool system. If your guest wants a trophy he ponies up for the extra points and I assume the money goes back into protein or something to help the herd?

Our lease is our family only + whatever freinds we invite and anybody can shoot a trophy as long as they have permission from myself, my dad, or my brother

Similar problems on our duck lease and guest. Some members want to bring a guest every weekend. We are suppose to be a group of 8. But then kids under 16 get to hunt free with dad. Now you start throwing a bunch of guest in the mix and you have 20 people in a duck blind.

Next year, make sure you have a clear understanding of the rules before you pay your money.

We get 1 trophy, 1 spike, and 2-3 does depending on the year. I can allot those to whomever I would like it would just come off my quota so to speak.

Now we do have a limit on the number of guest we can bring out at once.

Trophy's are paid hunter only with the exception our immediate family such as spouses and dependent children. Not a 25 year old "kid"!

Same goes with our mature management 8pts.

Cull bucks we are a little more lenient with but need to feel like the hunter/guest is competent to know w
