On your hunting lease, who is allowed to shoot a trophy buck? Just the member or can the member allow a friend/guest to shoot his/her trophy buck?

Ask the head honcho dealing with the landowner. That would be your best bet. Different leases, different rules.
But on mine, I can let a guest shoot my trophy -

I think it would be ok for a guest to shoot a buck only of they are hunting with you and it counts against your allowed deer..Comment

Ask the Lease Manager...I have a No Guest Policy in Sonora, and on my other lease in Quanah that I am just a member it can be a Family Member but it goes towards your quota...Comment

On our lease, only paid hunters can shoot a buck and must sit with guests. A couple years ago we had some jackwagon bring two guests and set them up in different blinds while he hunted a third, and they were all after a buck. One was recovered and another one "lost," and they left the lease directly after the hunt.Comment

On our lease if someone brings a guest they cannot shoot any deer. Only paying members are allowed to shoot deer.Comment

Anyone can shoot a buck on my lease but just comes off members allotment. I was just curious to see what everyone else's rules say. Couple the guys on my lease were discussing it. I understand both sides. Just thought it would be an interesting thread to hear other opinions.Comment

If a buck is taken by a guest it counts towards the members allotment. But does are not, in an attempt to bring the ratio down.Comment
