Ummm I don't see what the big deal is. Mounting a scope is just sitting it up with the rings. Simple process now mounting the bases is a different story. My Winchester Model 70 I just got from Bass Pro I let them mount the base, rings, and scope I had on me. Road down the street to buy my Conquest and let Carters mount my scope/boresight. Rifle was right on when I fired yet 5 inches low.

I had one mounted and boresighted a few weeks ago at cabelas in ft worth and it wouldn't cut paper at 100. High and right in the sand berm, that was the first and last time they will do one for me.

Not to mention they owe me for the $40 box of 300 win mags that I had to go through to dial it in.

And no I wouldn't trust Academy neither!

No. I don't trust anybody but me to NOT put a bore sight jig down my barrell and potentially screw up the crown.

I just mount my scope, take it to the range and visually look down the bore and get the crosshairs as close as I can. Then sight from there.
