It's not that hard to do yourself. Just be sure to use Blue 242 Locktite to keep the screws from coming loose. (And double check that you are NOT using the Red 271. Very bad.........)

To bore sight, yes. All you need to do is be on paper at 25 yards for a couple shots.Comment

still part time young ones or one over worked full timer..... laser bore sighted in the back room at short range
easy enough to find a place where you won't get looked at funny, pull the bolt, sand bag it and sight through the barrel on a target ( a light is a good choice usually at or around a 100 yrds away) and mount the scope. light in middle of barrel, light in the cross hairs, on paper at a hundred. (a dark garage and a street light works also
)

mr benny in schulenburg is the only one who mounts and bore sites my rifle scopes. every time he bore sites my scopes, i am inside a 3# coffee can at 100 yds, EVERYTIME!Originally posted by Twin Varmits View Post

I'd let them as long as it didn't cost me anything. Then when I got home, I'd double check everything & do my own final sighting in on paper.Comment

If academy does it, it will probably be low and left at 100 yds. At least the last 2 I know where done at 2 different Academys were.Comment
