Friend of mine from Allison killed a big 10 this morning. Not sure if he got there or shamrock.

No rut sign here (dickens). Cams show activity well after dark. Still hot and green here... It was 75 today.

Got in the blind this morning and had forgot to close one window... Killed about 150 wasps... With a gerber multi tool... 1 at a time. Had pigs all around but couldn't get the windows open because of all the frozen wasps. Light showed and nothing else. Sorry No pics.. Left my phone in the truck.

Got back to the trailer for a mid afternoon nap and was suprised by my new roommate... A BIG pack rat. We fought about who was going to stay in the trailer... Me in my under wear and a shoe for a weapon... He won. But after a trip to town for 25 bucks worth of rat killing supplies i am back in the game. Updates soon on him.

In the blind now.. Gonna set here until 7pm and move to another blind after that. In search of the piggies that are running off all the deer. maybe a ldp soon... So far this weekend has been a bust.

I had to work today but I got home about dusk and made a trip around the place. I saw a group of 4 bucks. 3 small ones and 1 decent buck that tore off with his head down and ears pinned chasing another deer. Then saw several doe and a spike. Wish I could have been in the blind.

Not real happy right now when I checked my camera yesterday I had someone on a 4wheeler last Friday at 10 pm. Didn't have any more pictures for 2 days. Get in my ground blind this morning for the first time in two weeks and the windows have been opened where you could see out of the sides. I am very particular on how my blinds are set up and know someone was hunting it. I will be having a talk with the other group of guys that were here last weekend.

Deer were moving real good late this morning ended up seeing 10 doe a spike and that small buck all after 9:30. Every doe anyone seen this weekend had fawns and several different ones with twins.

I'm gonna let it rest this weekend... Still hott and the next weekend the weather is supposed to be cold all week.

My bet is letting my area calm down and the weather turning off cold and staying cold will get the deer moving like i would like and rut should be in beginning to middle stages.

Weather should move through tonight and make for some good conditions on Tuesday, if you can get out, Coach. Might be a little windy, but when is it not windy out there?

I'll be on the road in five days. Gonna be a long week.

Should be in the field by Sunday evening or Monday morning. Will send updates as signal allows.

I think its starting in Hemphill co. Very large buck chasing a doe this morning. Another decent buck chasing off another buck, and several fawns that their mothers have disappeared.

The way that one doe was acting to her fawn yesterday she was snorting at them and head butting them like she was trying to get rid of them. But the buck wasn't to interested in anything she was trying to do.
