Great price on the elk, axis doe price is more than twice what it should be.

Make sure to check out their condition after the drought, the elk may be stressed out more than the axis.

Just took an axis doe out at the "C" a couple of weeks ago. Can't beat the taste of the meat! Had this same conversation with my husband about which to shoot with the price being so close. I saw more axis doe than elk cows but both were there. Since it was my first hunt ever I opted for axis (lacked confidence in myself/bow). You also get a hog with either one. Skylar does an awesome job of putting you in "the right spot at the right time" in my opinion. There are tons of critters at the C. While you're not guaranteed a kill the odds are in your favor. Good luck on whichever hunt you choose!
