Man you are silly. You are the one that fights with everyone on here.

Don't be mad because I dominate you at EVERYTHING!!!! Go put 78 kinds of sweet stuff on your failed attempt at smoked meats.

I will keep bowhunting but definately will not hesitate to pull out my 300 if I get the hankering. I have killed a lot of critters with my bow over the last 20 years, but for the fact that I will still use a rifle, I guess I am not a bowhunter...... GMAFB!!!! I figure if it excites you, you must be doing something right.

Yep, that exactly it!! Nailed it!!

In all honesty though, in my original post, I didn't ask for opinions on people who use their rifles sometimes. I simply asked, who pulls them out come November. You stated your opinion, so I stated mine.

Actually there are 3 pages of folks voicing their opinion.

            90% bow only
            10% both

I get a laugh every time I see one of these threads. I use a bow most of the time. There are times that a gun is the prescription. I killed 4 deer one morning on a TPWD hunt using a gun. Highly unlikely the same thing could have been done on that property with a bow. 6 deer in 2 days.

Being a bow hunter does not exclude anyone from being able to hunt with a gun. Using a gun from time to time doesn't exclude you from being a bow hunter. Telling someone they are less of a bow hunter because the use a gun is silly. If you don't ever use a gun because it doesn't fit your style - good. If you don't use a bow for whatever reason, so what. Don't tell someone else they are wrong because they don't hunt the way you do.

I can show you numerous threads from members of this site that (true contributors to this site) that have from time to time hunted with a gun.

The saga of F.A.R.T. has included a huge number of great members from this site (on the ground and on the screen) for many years. This year they used a different approach and took boom sticks. Didn't detract from a great thread or guys having a great time.

Shane's big-horn sheep hunt is an other example of a time and place where a gun was the right choice. Doesn't make him less of a bow hunter or contributor to the site.

Jaspro loved his boom stick - don't need to say much more than that.

This is right on point for me as well! I just enjoy being outdoors rifle or bow doesn't matter to me I just enjoy being able to take a pee wherever I'd like to!

If you say I argue with more people here than you then your smoking crack( hence the name BurntOutBowhunter) and every smoked meat ive cooked has been great......I actually do the things we talk about on this site in real life instead of just telling everyone how awesome I am at them......ive never competed with you in anything ever so im not sure how youve dominated me except in useless posts about stuff you never actually do........older brother aint so cool any more

To answer the OP it honestly depends how I feel but I do like to drag out the boomstick a lot once it becomes legal......but im hunting trails and a lot on public land with no feeder so just getting a deer in sight can be a huge challenge sometimes:thumbup:

What exactly have I not done that I said I did?

                            I bow hunt year round.

I am not opposed to using a rifle. If it gets really darn cold, I prefer to sit in a heated rifle stand rather than freeze my hiney off sitting in a tree with my bow.

All that said, I have not gotten my rifle out with intent of using it on a deer in several years.
