Am I the only one that doesn't hunt a feeder?

My biggest buck to date (a tad over 150" gross) was shot underneath a corn feeder. It was at the very end of season and food was starting to get scarce.
With that being said, I have a "deer" stand setup on a trail away from everyone of my feeders. Those are what I hunt during the rut. After that, it is back to the feeders.

I take much more pleasure out of scouting and setting up in likely spot. Just having deer of any age or sex pass within yards of me is intensely exciting. I am usually backed into a whitebrush with perhaps a prickly pear cactus in front of me. Have a deer or two walk up and graze in front of you for ten or fifteen minutes when youare in plain sight tells you that you are doing somes things right. But, i will hunt food sources such as feeders to get an idea of what quality of bucks are in the area. It seems that almost all deer will make their way to a feeder. The bucks know the does are there and for them it is probably a lot like hitting the bar trolling for chicks.

Everybody uses something to help. Me I'll use it all to help my odds. Some sets I corn roads, some feeders, and one or two spots natural browse areas that are used. Kills from one are no more impressive than the others. Wanna impress someone grab your long bow and spot and stalk but until then you're still using something to help you.
