Am I the only one that doesn't hunt a feeder?

I was just curious. I hunt the natural food sources and fill the freezer every year. Mature bucks don't get MATURE depending on a feeder or mature doe's!

I've been known to make a mock scrape and hunt it.

No deer depend on a feeder solely....mature or young.

I have a feeder with a ground blind set up near it that's been relatively productive for does, but i generally hunt a brush blind about 100 yards away from it where deer cross a fence to get to the feeder. I'm thinking of setting up a tripod soon a little further north on another travel route that I see deer on frequently heading to the same feeder.

I don't hunt feeders but I DO use corn. Even hunting over acorns, I'm still going to throw a little hand corn to help encourage a shooter to spend more time in one of my lanes. My hat is off to anyone that hunts 100% old school and doesn't use ANY sort of bait or attractant. I know there are some out there. Wish I had the time/patience.

Depends on the area, some get mature under the feeders

Yeah but no matter what, they are hunting a trail leading to or from a food source or a bedding area or both. You're still hunting them on their way to food or coming from eating. I see no difference.

I own and hunt 220 acres in Anderson county and we only have 4 feeders most of our stands aren't at feeders but in my neck of the woods we don't shoot mature bucks under a feeder

NOPE! I do not hunt a feeder. I have a protein feeder for deer usage only.

Won't be hunting a feeder this year. My new set is on a sendara between their bedroom and their kitchen. Set a small watering hole and will hand throw a little corn to stop them in my lane.

A buddy of mine hunts completely old school. 24 yrs old with over 2000 acres to hunt he has never owned a feeder, never owned a game camera.

I go hunt with him sometimes. He will just point me to a spot that he thinks there will be deer and then he hunts elsewhere. I see deer every time.
