We didn't take it that way, at least I didn't. To get the range of 150 to 170 yards, it is going to take a target style sight and even then it may not reach that far, all depends on your set up and where you anchor and your distance from your loop to your peep. Let us know if and how you achieve this. Not sure any of the fixed pins would work and the slider single pin sight may not have enough adjustment. Look at the target sights.

It really is the difference between target archery and bow hunting. Target archers see how far away than can get and still hit the target. Clout is shot at 180 meters with a compound. (That is right at 200 yards for those of you metrically challenged). The targets are static, I.e. they don't move. Bowhunters try and see how close they can get to their game and make an ethical shot. The target archers may use $400 a dozen arrows, long stabilizers and scoped sights, none of which is appropriate for bow hunting. Suggest you take up FITA shooting if those 125 yards shots float your boat.

My question for whoever knows is how do I get the maximum range out of my bow?? What sites are going to have enough adjustment for that? I am shooting the HHA optimizer right now but have it maxed out at 70 yards. I am looking to get up to around the 150 to 170 range

It is possible with a hunting rig.

No sir, I am not going to be shooting anything at the 150 yard range, I just want to get comfortable there. My apologies for the confusion.

You're supposed to stretch your barrel, not your bow! Like others have said, bowhunting is to get CLOSER to your intended target.

What ever you do film it for us....getting comfortable at 150+ is amazing....I get so worked up I miss pigs at 20yds i get to excited! I wouldn't be able to hit a elk if it was 5yds in front of me. But that's the rush of bowhunting. Live animals are completely different than that foam target I can stack arrows on.

When I toyed with it I used a second peep and learned to anchor differently for it.
It had to be higher in order to have arrow clearance under my CBE sight.
