Iceburg Wedge salad with good blue cheese dressing and crumbled blue cheese topped with pecans and sliced grape tomatoes.

Roasted new potatoes with olive oil, rosemary and kosher salt. Halve potatoes, drizzle with olive oil, toss with rosemary and salt, bake at 375 until crispy on outside and soft on inside.

If you like, get a good bottle of red wine, preferbly cab or merlot, and enjoy.

    BTW, Happy Birhtday!

      Stuffed grilled mushrooms

Buy some big whole mushrooms and pull out the stems.
Stuff with either blue cheese or cream cheese.
Top with 1/3 slice of bacon.
Grill until the bacon is done.

      Good stuff

I'm a fan of twice bakes potatoes.

Bake, cut in half. Scoop out all the insides keeping the peel in tact.

Put the insides in a bowl add butter, sour cream, chives

Cook up some bacon and chop it up, add that to your bowl with a few tablespoons of the bacon grease(amount of grease just depends on how many potatoes you do, don't want to use too much)

Final ingredient- a bit of horseradish for kick. You can also spice it up with some various spices you like (rosemary, cayenne, black pepper)

Mix your bowl up real good

Scoop back In to the potato skins.

When ready to eat cover the tops with shredded cheese and stick in oven long enough to reheat and melt cheese.

I usually make a fair amount of these and Saran Wrap them. They save for a good week. So for a quick lunch or snack you can heat then In the microwave real quick.

When I'm grillin' steaks, I start first with a 9" iron skillet heaping with chopped onions and sliced mushrooms sprinkled with Montreal Steak Seasoning, a little red cooking wine and a bunch of butter. Just put the skillet on the grill when you light it or when you're building your fire if it's a wood fire (which is the best way). Let the onions/shrooms cook down and then put the steaks on... take it all off the grill together and let it sit a few minutes... My favorite add on is a baked sweet potato with chopped carmalized pecans and brown cinnamon butter...

By Jimminie, I think that's what I'm gonna do this weekend! ... some good thick rib eyes cooked (just barely) rare...

The other night my wife took a can of cream corn and diced up two Jalapanos to throw in it. It was really good.

Whole mushrooms. Rinse under cold water. In a pot add worscheshire, butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper and your favorite red wine. Cook until boiling then lower to simmer. When its about 1/3 reduced add in whole mushrooms until just tender but not over done.
