Whats wrong with my 6.0

Truck cranked went about 200 yds but wasn't responding very well when I tried to accelerate. Then it wouldn't respond at all just idle. Now it wont crank

Cam sensor is out I would bet.

Mine did that and it was the Glowplug control module on the passenger side valve cover. Any check engine lights? I'd try somehow to pull the code if so.

What's wrong, it is a 6.0, that is what is wrong. Sorry for the sarcasm, I have one also that has cost me about 10 grand in repairs so far. Hopefully yours is not that bad, but any repairs on a diesel ain't cheap.

I owned one so I know what the problem is, it's a 04 6.0 Ford. Sorry, I had to do it. It was by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned.

Mine did what you are describing and it was the cam sensor if I remember right.

Camshaft position sensors and Crankshaft position sensors can really make a vehicle do some weird things.

97k and I had my first problem with my 6.0 yesterday. I turned on to my street and the truck started to stall and the tow light started flashing. Took it to my diesel mech this morning and ended up being a sensor in the transmission.$300 fix.

Mine was a high pressure oil leak. Just wouldn't start one morning. Also the EGR valve was an issue at one time. It would just die while I was driving and spot smoke. Mines an 06. Hopefully I will have no more issues.
