Bfg all terrain are the best hands down. Worth every cent. I have used them for years in south Texas and in the hill country. My friends with other brands have had to change flats. I haven't. It's like buying insurance. You buy it in case. BFG peace of mind!

2. I ran BFG MT's most of my life. Tried the AT's and hated them. I don't remember EVER getting more than 35k out of any of them, on any truck. And my last set of them was shortly after they changed the tread pattern on the MT's. Had nothing but problems with those. I was happy with the old tread pattern even though mileage life was short.
Decided to try Toyo Open Country MT's after doing a lot of research, much of it on here. Just put on my second set a couple weeks ago. Replaced the first set after 45k miles even though I probably could have gotten another 5000-8000 out of them. These Toyo's are simply a superior tire to the BFG's. I am running 285-75-17's on an '06 F-150 with a 4" lift. I get into a lot of pretty rough country, as well as put on a lot of highway miles. I know you didn't ask about them, but give Toyo's a look. Coopers ran a very close second choice to the Toyo's.
