Zero tolerance for that kind of behavior especially if kids are around. We bought a Catahoula pup once, and three weeks into having him at the house, he decided he had an affinity for my youngest son's face. The first time came with a warning and a whooping, to be polite. I noticed that he would avoid my son until I wasn't around, and then he would just attack him. This was unprovoked, and I was monitoring the situation the entire time from in the house. He bit my son again who wasn't even around him. He literally went to find him, butted him in the head, and bit him above the eye. End of my days as a Catahoula owner. Good riddance.

About 15 years ago a friend gave me an AKITA (similar to a Husky). He had to get rid of it because it was mean to his other dogs. This is a large beautiful dog, about 100 pounds.
First thing he did was jump on my old male dog that had been with me for 13 years. As they fought, I ran up and kicked the Akita in the head (I had on steel toe work boots) then chased him into the house kicking him in the Butt every other step. Once in the house, I kicked him again then "Humped" him about 10 times till he could not breathe. I then jerked him up and threw him in my truck for a trip to the vet to be castrated.

I had that dog for almost ten years after that and he was the best behaved dog ever!!

This was followed up by a proper form punt-kick that left him wailing like the little b____ he is. This elicited an unwelcomed response from the wife and oldest kids. They showed no regard for my damaged flesh and only concerned about the well being of that worthless rodent creature. He hid in the backyard until the rain started then came whimpering back. I was fast asleep when he made his return. Amazingly, I woke up this morning and the wife was asleep somewhere else in the house. It's amazing...I get bit and I'm the bad guy! Dang it all to he11!

Is there a "mom" in the house that maybe "likes" it too? If so, it would be her 100% responsibility for it's well-being.

I personally despise all those little yep-yep, bred for "pets" tiny dogs. They ALL have an "attitude"... it's like some vertically challenged people who get the "little man syndrome"... they make up for it by being a BAD DUDE...

My wife had a mini-dachshund for almost 18 years, and I hated that dog with a passion. I did not feed it... did not care for it in ANY manner. It was utterly useless. She had to have it put down a few months back, and though I was very sad for my wife that day, I can honestly say I was not sad to be finally done with that dog. Sorry but that's just me.
Dang brother, you are an old Scrooge...

The dog was treated very well and the dog was not startled. It's was a regular routine every night .
If you would be more worried about how the dog felt instead of the person who got bit then I'm sorry you could go along with the dog. LOL

You can tell a lot about a man by how he treats his Momma, the waitress, his animals, and how he acts when he is sick or hurt....

Not saying I don't agree with his reaction. He is the Man, and he has a family to protect! But some of the other comments are pretty crudeeee!!! lol

I wonder what the look on his face would be right before the coyotes found him on that dirt road?
